The Dodge Ram Power Wagon actually precedes the Dodge Ram. It began as its own line under the Dodge name, back in 1945. That it came out at the end of World War II is not a coincidence: it was the first 4x4 medium duty truck for civilians. The Ram eventually filled its space in the marketplace, but the Power Wagon could not totally be replaced. Its name has since been revived as part of the Ram line.

Like any other Ram truck, the Power Wagon must be well-maintained. Its continued operation depends on more parts than you can imagine. While some are more notable and integral than others, all of them contribute to the vehicle's overall performance. Allow one part after another to wear down or fall off and the whole truck will cease to work well at all. Owners are responsible for replacing parts as needed.
