Built to Kill Death Wobble
Death Wobble is a violent side-to-side shake of the front
suspension that hits at Highway Speed — usually right after you cross the expansion joint where a bridge meets the
road, or drop into a pothole — and it leaves you in a terrified state, certain you've lost total control of your
truck. It won't quit until you slow down. This is not a Dodge Ram defect. It's a Solid-Axle condition, and it has
haunted Solid-Axle vehicles of every make since the beginning.
On a Five-Link Ram, the Track Bar is the single most
important component locating your front axle side to side — an absolute imperative for control of your truck.
So when the factory bar flexes, wears, or develops play, it becomes one of the biggest causes of Death Wobble.
DT ProFab has been building Track Bars for the Dodge Ram since 1995,
and we designed ours to attack the problem at the root. The factory bar is Curved to clear the front differential
— and that curve lets the steel Flex under load, changing its length by thousandths of an inch and feeding the
wobble. Our answer is a Straight Bar. We relocate the upper frame mount slightly Forward with a bolt-on Adapter
Bracket, so a Straight, 1-5/8" Heavy-Wall DOM Bar can run down to the axle and clear the diff cover at full
compression — with No Flex. Then we make it fully Adjustable in length, so you can set your axle Dead Center
no matter your ride height. Every joint is Serviceable and Rebuildable — so when it eventually wears, you
rebuild it instead of replacing it.
The result is real Stability and Control —
whether you hit it at low speed or Highway Speed.

Important — Diff Cover Clearance:
Any Diff Cover that's Boxy along the top passenger side of the
differential can have interference issues with this Track Bar, due to the way it's designed and built. This includes
Mag Hy-Tec Diff Covers — this kit WILL NOT WORK with them.
